Sophie & Lincoln

Winter Wedding

Sophie and Lincoln's came to Queenstown, New Zealand for their dream Heli wedding, only to be met with the fiercest rainfall the region had seen in 24 years. The deluge triggered widespread flooding, accompanied by gale force winds reaching speeds of over 100km/h, leading to a State of Emergency declaration.

With determination we made new plans and rescheduled their special day, holding out for a few days when the rain would relent and the winds would subside.

Finally, the day they had been waiting for arrived. The relentless downpour, and the winds slowed down making it possible to fly again

Their Heli wedding had three landings. The wedding ceremony itself was held on Roundhill, a great location with sweeping views of the surrounding landscape.

Following the ceremony, we flew up to the fresh snow for photos

Their final landing overlooked the lake and the towering mountains, a breathtaking panorama before returning to Queenstown
