Annika & Matthew had some friends with them for their small and intimate wedding ceremony at Moke Lake. After The ceremony we did some more photos around the lake before driving to the airport for our flight up in the mountains. We landed on The Ridge at Cecil Peak and had a great time in the snow
Amy & Matt came over from Australia with their family for a beautiful spring wedding ceremony at Thurlby Domain. After some photos around the old ruins and gardens at Thurlby we headed out to the airport and the Heli hangar for the flight out to Earnslaw Burn for more photos. It was a stunning day day out there with no wind and and a warm sun that beamed down in the valley.
Peter is a Star Wars fan and Larissa had a great idea to put a Darth Vader mask and cape over her wedding dress to surprise Peter at their first look. His smile said it all as they shared laughs and smiles to start off their wedding. With windy conditions and fresh snow Larissa was so happy we were able to get them married on The Ledge. With lots of fresh snow around we got some great photos on The Ledge. With the wind increasing Dan the pilot found us a great spot for their second drop on Bayonet Peak. We then headed to Park street to get some ground shots of this happily married couple.
Gianna & Jeremy came over from USA for their elopement wedding with us here in Queenstown. It was a early spring day with lots of low cloud around and some rain in the morning.We picked them up from The Hilton and drove to the airport to meet our celebrant and pilot for the day. Victor and Hadar were joined by family and friends for their wedding here in Queenstown. They enjoyed a first look at their accommodation to start the day and then we headed to St Omer Park for their ceremony. Glennys was so happy to pronounce these two to be husband and wife. We then headed into the mountains where the blanket of thick new snow made for some great pictures. We landed on Cecil Peak for their first drop and then flew to Mt Creighton for some more great shots. Victor and Hadar enjoyed throwing snow in the air which expressed their fun day. We also had James from Shotover Media joining in capturing their special day. We ended the day with a few ground shots before dropping them back at their accommodation to join their friends and family.
Stuart and Shani were staying out in Gibston Valley at Kinross and had a beautiful sunny spring day for their wedding. We flew to The Remarkables for their ceremony. After a enjoying the views with a glass of champagne to celebrate we got some great photos and flew back to the hanger. We signed the papers at the hanger and they were all married! We headed out for their ground photos to a old ruin on the way back to Kinross. We did a few more shots back at Kinross and these two just looked so happy being married it was a pleasure to be there for them.
Flying two helicopters up to The Ledge with OTT is a perfect way to enjoy your ceremony! With a little bit of snow, it took a bit of snow shoeing and some giggles to get to the ceremony location. Everyone was so happy seeing these two married by Glennys and officially husband and wife. We got some great photos and they especially enjoyed getting a helicopter fly by shot as the second helicopter flew their guests back to base and they waved from the mountainside. Being spring we got some great of some new blossoms and a few more ground shots before returning them to enjoy a great dinner celebration with the family and friends.
Morgan and Mason came over from USA with their families for their Queenstown winter wedding. We did a first look on down by the lakefront as we drove to they airport to meet Tracey the celebrant for the day and our pilots. [Read more…]
With an amazing 28 days planned for their winter Wedding / Honeymoon trip in Queenstown, Mitch and Tahli were kicking things off with a Heli Wedding at Bayonet Peak followed by more photos at a snow-covered location on Cecil Peak. From the moment we picked them up, it was clear to see that Mitch and Tahli were the perfect match for each other. So, in love, and so ready to get married!

Dean and Paul have been coming to Queenstown for many holidays and after 13 years of being together they decided to have a Heli Wedding! Paul’s two sisters, Susanne & Michelle joined them and added to a touching ceremony with beautiful readings for their ceremony. Happy tears were flowing for everyone, including our photographer and the pilot! After enjoying some champagne and the stunning scenery on the mountain they flew back down to sign their marriage license and make it all official. Susanne and Michelle had a flight home soon after, so we dropped them off at the airport and then headed to Kelvin Heights to get some more shots of the newlyweds. We are so happy for Dean & Paul, seeing them celebrate their love, makes us appreciate being able to plan and capture their special memory.
