ABOUT
THE ORIGINAL HELI WEDDING EXPERIENCE
Heli Weddings New Zealand was founded in 2007 with one clear vision to create unforgettable, intimate wedding experiences high above the world, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of New Zealand’s Southern Alps.
As the original Heli Wedding company in Queenstown, we’ve spent more than a decade perfecting the art of elopement by helicopter. From glaciers to alpine lakes, secluded mountain peaks to wild west coast beaches, we can take you to places that few ever get to stand. The most incredible backdrops for your once-in-a-lifetime moment.
Led by Passion & Experience
Heli Weddings New Zealand is proudly owned and operated by Meagan Wilken, a dedicated wedding professional with a deep love for adventure, photography, and storytelling. Meagan was personally mentored by the legendary Fredrik Larsson, who was named the 2nd Best Wedding Photographer in the World in 2017 and previously owned Heli Weddings NZ with his wife Laura Larsson.
Meagan has continued the legacy of blending cinematic artistry with the raw beauty of New Zealand’s landscapes - creating experiences that are not just weddings, but unforgettable memories.
We are equally dedicated to our team of photographers, ensuring they receive ongoing training and support to maintain the highest standards of creativity, professionalism, and world-class photography. Their expertise and passion allow us to consistently deliver exceptional imagery and experiences that truly capture the magic of your day.
