The Pure Salt vessel, M.V. Flightless, is a purpose-built 27 m expedition yacht designed for luxury, comfort, and adventure in the most remote wilderness areas of New Zealand. Originally an ex-Navy vessel, she has been transformed into a spacious and well-equipped floating home, perfect for exploring the coastal fiords of Fiordland National Park, Stewart Island, and beyond.

The vessel is internationally surveyed and crafted to provide a comfortable and immersive live-aboard experience with no fixed itineraries — meaning your journey unfolds naturally, at your pace and around your interests. Cabin Information

M.V. Flightless accommodates up to 12 guests in cosy, well-appointed cabins, each designed to feel like a home away from home

4 Double/Twin Cabins – Queen bed with a single bed above; ensuite bathroom with a great shower, USB charging, central heating, ventilation, and thoughtful comforts.
1 Quad Cabin – Four single bunk beds with its own ensuite bathroom, ideal for family or friends travelling together.
Each cabin includes ensuite facilities, quality linen and towels, heating, ventilation for fresh air, and USB charging, ensuring comfort after a day of discovery.
