We also understand that every couple is different, and an all-inclusive approach may not feel right for everyone. You may prefer the freedom to shape your day without paying for elements you don’t need. For this reason, we offer a range of optional additions that you can choose to include if they help make your day feel even more special and personal.
HELI WEDDINGS NZ
HAIR AND MAKEUP

We work with a wonderful selection of highly talented hair and makeup artists based in Queenstown. All of our stylists are professionally trained, and many have been part of our team for years, with extensive experience preparing brides for mountain and heli weddings.
Ahead of your day, we’ll ask you to share a selfie and any inspiration images you love. This allows your stylist to review your preferences in advance and offer gentle guidance if needed. We’re always happy to suggest styles that tend to work beautifully in alpine environments and remain comfortable in the wind, while still ensuring you’re free to choose a look that feels completely like you.
On the morning of your wedding, your hair and makeup artist will come directly to your accommodation and work closely with you to create your perfect look. If you change your mind on the day or would like additional advice tailored to your hair type or features, they’re there to guide you — and they won’t leave until you’re feeling confident and completely happy.
For most couples, a trial isn’t necessary, as our stylists are very experienced in creating beautiful results on the day. However, if you’d prefer the extra reassurance, we’re more than happy to arrange a trial for an additional cost.
FLOWERS

We work with a selection of talented local florists who are experienced in creating beautiful arrangements for mountain and heli weddings. You’re welcome to choose any style of flowers you love and share your inspiration images with us — we’ll pass these on to our florist for review and feedback.
While we’re able to source most flowers, some varieties may be seasonal or unavailable at certain times of year. If this is the case, our florist will thoughtfully suggest the closest alternatives or recommend options that will suit both the season and the alpine environment, while still staying true to your vision.
On the day of your wedding, your bouquet and buttonhole will be delivered to you by our photographers, ensuring everything arrives safely and beautifully for your ceremony and photos.
PICNIC

We offer a beautifully prepared in-house picnic, designed to be shared by the two of you in a breathtaking mountain setting. Thoughtfully curated and effortless to enjoy outdoors, it’s a relaxed yet indulgent way to pause, celebrate, and fully immerse yourselves in the moment together.
If you’re dreaming of something truly bespoke, we also offer an intimate designer setup that can be styled to complement your bouquet and chosen colour palette, creating a cohesive and elegant setting that feels entirely your own.
Our picnic showcases fresh, locally sourced New Zealand produce and can be carefully tailored to suit all dietary requirements. Simply share your preferences with us ahead of time, and we’ll ensure everything is prepared with care and delivered ready for you to enjoy as part of your mountain experience.

We can arrange a beautifully crafted cake to complement your mountain celebration, created by our trusted local artisans using high-quality ingredients. Whether you prefer something elegantly simple or a little more indulgent, your cake can be tailored to suit your style and taste.
Simply share any inspiration images or flavour preferences with us ahead of time, and we’ll take care of the rest. Your cake will be delivered ready for you to enjoy on the day, adding a sweet and meaningful touch to your heli wedding experience.
ADDITIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Already included in all of our packages are coverage of your first look (optional), your ceremony, and breathtaking mountain photography at your chosen landing locations. This ensures the heart of your day is beautifully documented, with time to relax, soak it all in, and enjoy the experience without feeling rushed.
If you’d love every detail of your wedding story captured, additional photography time can be seamlessly added to your day. This may include getting ready moments at your accommodation, flat-lay and detail imagery, intimate close-ups, extended time in the mountains, or coverage of an evening celebration — ideal for larger guest groups or special dining experiences on land or water.
For couples wanting to extend their experience beyond the wedding day, we also offer additional day tour photography options. These can include guided photo adventures to iconic locations such as Milford Sound or Aoraki / Mount Cook, or more off-the-beaten-track scenic locations close to Queenstown for a quieter, more adventurous feel.
Astro photography experiences can also be arranged, most commonly during the winter months when sunset times allow for darker skies. These sessions are highly weather dependent and require clear conditions, but when everything aligns, they offer a truly magical way to finish your wedding story under the stars.
VIDEOGRAPHY FILMS

We work alongside a selection of exceptionally talented videographers based in Queenstown and can share a range of package options to suit your day. These vary from simple ceremony coverage through to beautifully crafted films that include your full ceremony and cinematic highlights from across your experience.
Some of our videographers are certified to operate drones in approved locations. If you choose to include drone footage, please note this involves additional costs due to required airspace management and extended landing time. While drone filming is underway, photography time is reduced, and all drone use remains subject to weather conditions and on-the-day permissions.
Most video packages require just one videographer, though some options include two. In all cases, we carefully coordinate helicopter capacity to ensure all passengers and equipment can be safely accommodated. If weight limits are exceeded, an upgrade to a larger helicopter, such as an H130 or a 9 seater may be required for additional costs, and we’ll guide you through this seamlessly as part of your planning.

We offer beautifully crafted, in-house custom designed wedding albums to preserve your day in a timeless and meaningful way. Each album is thoughtfully designed to tell the story of your wedding, with a clean, elegant layout that lets your images truly shine.
After your wedding, we’ll create a draft album design for you to review, allowing you to suggest any changes before it’s finalised. Your album includes a classic linen cover as standard, with a choice of colours to suit your style. If you’re dreaming of something truly unique, we can also custom design your cover using leather or a special design of your choice, creating a one-of-a-kind keepsake designed to last a lifetime.
