Jewel and Joel travelled all the way from Australia to celebrate their love in one of the most secluded and breathtaking ways possible with a private heli-wedding in the mountains of Queenstown. From the moment they arrived, it was clear this day was going to be something truly unforgettable.

We lifted off under bright skies, with a touch of wind circling the mountain tops and moody clouds around, just enough to give the day that classic high-country drama. Despite the breeze, we managed to find not one, but three beautifully sheltered landing spots, each offering its own unique magic. Fresh snow underfoot, crystal-clear mountain rivers, and finally the shimmering serenity of Lake Lochnagar created an ever-changing backdrop that felt straight out of a dream.

These two were an absolute joy to capture — full of smiles, laughter, and that effortless connection that makes photographing a couple feel like a privilege. Watching them explore each landscape together, chasing pockets of moody light, and soaking in every moment reminded us exactly why we love what we do.

Helicopters allow couples to reach places that feel untouched, remote, and deeply intimate — and days like this are the perfect example. We feel incredibly lucky to have such extraordinary locations just a short flight from Queenstown, each one offering its own slice of wild New Zealand beauty.
