The Majestic
Joanna and Brendon, along with their families, traveled all the way from Australia for their heli wedding adventure in the stunning mountains of New Zealand. They had chosen "The Majestic" package, which is a 6-hour helicopter journey to some of the most remote and breathtaking locations in New Zealand, starting with a ceremony on The Ledge. However, as often happens in the unpredictable world of nature, the weather had different plans for their special day.
We flew with two helicopters to The Ledge for the wedding ceremony with a beautiful view overlooking the lake. This location allowed their families to be part of the celebration, However, due to unfavorable weather conditions, the rest of their planned journey had to be rescheduled for another day.
Later in the week we headed out again now towards Doubtful Sounds, an area known for its hidden gems nestled among the mountains, complete with waterfalls, winding rivers, glaciers and rainforests From there, we continued on towards Doubtful Sounds, along the coastline, eventually landing on a secluded beach on the rugged west coast of New Zealand.
The journey then took us further up to the renowned Milford Sound, a world-famous natural wonder. Following this awe-inspiring location, the majestic Sutherland Falls, a colossal 580-meter waterfall originating from Lake Quill. Here, we paused for a picnic amidst the breathtaking scenery and had the opportunity to observe the playful Kea's
Last stop of their adventurous day was a landing in the snow before heading back to Queenstown.
